Quite possibly one of the most remarkable stamps is the seed stamp developed by Cartor. The stamps are no different to any other in that they can be applied to an envelope, posted and franked. The difference is they carry many tiny seeds allowing the stamp to be removed from the envelope after use and be planted! The stamp gradually decomposes in the soil, providing a protective mulch for the developing roots.
